Dr. Williams Presented at AFRL NEM Technical Interchange Meeting on Using Machine Learning for Nuclear Test Detection

January 28th – 30th, 2020, Dr. Jesse Williams, Engineering Manager at GTC, presented at Air Force Research Lab (AFRL) Nuclear Explosion Monitoring Technical Interchange Meetings on using machine learning to process seismic signals to classify different types of seismic events. Results show greater than 93% accuracy is event classification using deep neural networks. The solution being developed will reduce workload for analysts in manually processing seismic waveforms.
