The GTC team participated in this years Data Challenge hosted by the PHM Europe 2022 conference. In the challenge, participants are challenged to demonstrate the application of state-of-the-art algorithms and models to solve a classification problem for a real production line. This year’s Challenge was held in collaboration with Bitron Spa, a leading company in the development and manufacturing of mechatronic devices. Thanks to this collaboration, the competition had exclusive access to an extensive dataset of a real industrial production line equipped with automated, integrated and fully connected machines. These connected machines constitute a complete production line that starting from a Printed Circuit Board (PCB), builds Electric Circuit Board. The goal of this competition was to use these datasets to predict the quality damages of the final products.
With the results out, GTC finished in the top five! We’re excited with our ranking, proud of our team, and look forward to future competitions!
